Gorod Pure Silk Saree with Silkmark - 0867

The word 'gorod' means white. So essentially a garad or gorod saree is one where the silk has been left undyed. A typical gorod saree is either white or off-white, depending on the silk used, and has a plain red border, a plain white body and a red pallu. Gorods are pure silk sarees produced in the Murshidabad district of West Bengal. 

This saree is Pure Original Gorod Silk Saree with Silkmark which is off white with red border.

Care instructions: Garad silk sarees should preferably be dry cleaned.

Always dry wash your silk and linen sarees.
Never hand-wash or machine-wash your silk or linen saree.
In case the saree gets stained, immediately wipe the stain off with cold water.
Store the saree in a light cotton muslin cloth. This will give the saree breathing space and will prevent one saree from sticking to another when kept in a pile.
Don’t store the saree in a plastic cover as this will cause the gold embroidery to turn black.
