Baluchari sarees have a 500 years old heritage. These sarees originated from a small village - Baluchar in Murshidabad district of west Bengal, and hence the name “Baluchari”. The sarees show intricate patterns and the finest weaving skills. Baluchari sarees typically depict stories of Indian mythology. 

This saree is a Gorod Baluchari Pure Silk Saree with Silkmark in beige base colour with designs and motifs intricately woven in maroon. It has a maroon border with maroon intricate thread work.

Care instructions: Baluchari silk sarees should preferably be dry cleaned.

Don’t store the saree in a plastic cover as this will cause the gold embroidery to turn black.
