Description & Specifications

This ethnic pure tussar dupion silk saree features a woven brick red pallu reminiscent of the Central Asian Kilim print. A notable feature of the dupion silk fabric used, considered an apt one for drapery and formal garments, is that it is a raw silk, at its best natural and raw form. The inherent imperfections on the fabric's surface help it retain a rustic charm, add character and also help one distinguish it from lesser quality silks. While the fabric lends itself to formal usage the colour of the saree enables the garment to seamlessly transition from day to night. It will look best when paired with bold oxidised silver jewellery. The coloured threads used to create patterns on the pallu lend a handmade, folk-art look to the garment. The blouse and petticoat worn by the model are not included. However, a running blouse piece is included.

Care instructions: The saree is made using natural dyes and extracts. Variations in weave texture, colours and print may occur in hand-made products.

Dry clean only.

The model wearing this saree is  5'6" height

Slight colour may vary due to camera photography.

Care Guide

Always dry wash your silk and linen sarees.
Never hand-wash or machine-wash your silk or linen saree.
In case the saree gets stained, immediately wipe the stain off with cold water.
Store the saree in a light cotton muslin cloth. This will give the saree breathing space and will prevent one saree from sticking to another when kept in a pile.
Don’t store the saree in a plastic cover as this will cause the gold embroidery to turn black.
