Always dry wash when washing for the first time. Subsequent washes maybe either hand wash or dry wash. Do not machine wash.
Use only a mild detergent.
Do not wring it vigorously; instead, hang it for a while to allow the excess water to drain off. Always starch cotton sarees after wash to retain their brightness.
Dry the washed saree in a shaded area. Avoid direct sunlight so that colors do not fade.

This Bangladeshi cotton silk saree with border makes the saree perfect casual daytime wear. Loosely draped, it is best worn with oxidised silver jewellery or antique gold temple jewellery. The blouse and petticoat worn by the model are not included. However, a running blouse piece is.
